Following an outstanding junior, college, and amateur career, Woods was 20 years old when he turned professional at the end of summer in 1996.
On the face of it, the two have some things in common and not just because they are well-off single parents.
Tiger Woods was back in the public eye over the weekend, and he brought a new face with him: restaurant manager Erica Herman.
The two spent a lot of time together at the Presidents Cup, where Woods was serving as an assistant captain for the American side.
They were seen holding hands on the course at Liberty National Golf Club, where Herman sported a "player spouse" credential that is usually reserved for significant others.
Woods and Herman have apparently known each other for months.
Herman recently served as general manager of The Woods, Woods' pop-up restaurant that served items like lollipop lamb chops, truffle fries, and tuna tartar to hungry fans at the Genesis Open in February.
